Paris’ trip to Tokyo and San Francisco
Paris represented cape as our 2026 Keith Kilner Study Tour recipient, travelling to Tokyo and San Francisco to explore accessible housing, assistive technology, and the future of independent living.
From Japan’s seamless integration of assistive technology into everyday life, to the U.S.’ focus on thoughtfully, inclusive design; but high‑impact, a consistent theme emerged: co‑design matters. When people with disability help shape the spaces they live in, accessibility becomes meaningful, dignified, and empowering.
